Ben's Temple Visit

Portland Oregon Temple
Grandpa, Simon and Grandma
We have experienced several weeks of rain.  It seems we have been housebound for one week; however, as good Oregonians, we don’t let it bother us.  We just move ahead.

On one of the rainy days we celebrated grandparent’s day at Simon and Kyton’s school.
We were instructed as to the planned activities for the day and then served a nice breakfast in the auditorium.  We spent the first part of the day with Simon in his classroom.  We played some educational games which were prepared by the teacher.  We took Simon to the Book Fair and then met with Kyton in her classroom.  The students introduced their respective grandparents.  We then filled out a questionnaire which was structured to show the differences between our time in grade school and Kyton’s experiences now.  Each student was asked to read one of the answers of the questions about themselves and then a corresponding answer about their respective grandparent.  A visit to the Book Fair was also planned with Kyton.

In preparation for his mission, Ben chose to receive his Endowments this past week.  Many of us gathered at the Temple on Thursday evening to support him in that activity.  Following the Temple Session we gathered at a restaurant for some refreshments.

This will be a short one.
